Diet-Focused Study Launches in Cleveland
Cleveland Clinic has initiated a clinical trial evaluating Santa Barbara Nutrients’ Ren-Nu™ ketogenic nutrition program, which includes the medical food KetoCitra®, in individuals with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). The study, led by Dr. Richard Fatica, will assess the intervention's safety, feasibility, metabolic effects (including continuous glucose monitoring), and renal outcomes. Up to 20 participants will complete a three-month dietary program with baseline and follow-up assessments.

National Donate Life Month is celebrated every April and raises education surrounding organ and tissue donation while simultaneously honoring all those who have saved lives through this selfless act.
There are currently more than 108,000 candidates on the National Waiting List, approximately 94,000 of which require a kidney transplant.
According to the United Network of Organ Sharing, 27,573 kidney transplants were performed last year (21,052 from deceased donors and 6,521 from living donors).

Published Research Articles
A recent article in Cureus provided an analysis of SGLT2 inhibitor therapy in individuals with ADPKD. Observational data showed slower kidney function decline, providing a convincing rationale for future randomized studies with alternate endpoints.
A study published in Clinical Kidney Journal evaluated Quality of Life in ADPKD patients. Patient reported outcomes were lower in later chronic kidney disease stages compared to earlier stages.
